After an American Dream (2020) explored what might come after An American Dream, the final chapter of the Ona Artist project. Set during the outbreak of COVID-19, it followed the character Solara Dev as she traveled westward into an increasingly mythic landscape of rivers, mountains, and desert. Originally conceived as the beginning of a larger project, it remains unfinished. Looking back, it marks the transition between my New York years and the work that followed after moving to the Sonoran Desert.
